Meet Shannon!

Much like Mario-our last Spotlight, Shannon has also had a long history with the company.  When she was 15 years old, she started working as a cashier in one of our Longmont, CO stores.  Through her time working in the field, she helped open new stores and served as a trainer.  She also became a shift leader (at the same time as Mario) and worked under Magda (our North Star district manager), who was a GM at the time.  Eventually, Shannon became the General Manager of the Cheyenne, WY location.

After a few years in the industry she took a break.  Shannon knew she wanted to move forward with the company, but was waiting for the opportunity to come along.  Luckily, she stayed in touch with Max and he informed her of a new position.  She jumped at the chance and has been working here in our corporate office in Boulder ever since.  Shannon is currently head of Marketing for Bighorn, Heartland, North Star and TriStar.  She assists with new store openings, orders POP materials, and uses her years of experience in the field to provide knowledge to all marketing aspects.

Outside of the office, she is extremely involved with Jesters Dinner Theater in Longmont.  She started acting there years ago and luckily enough, met her husband, Danny, in the process.  Her in-laws own and operate the theater, so she and Danny work tirelessly to help out.  They both perform in shows and assist in the kitchen and with serving tables.  Shannon also choreographs routines for some of the performances.  They are busy!

In her real spare time, she enjoys watching movies, hiking, playing golf, and going out to dinner with her husband.  They will be enjoying their alone time while it lasts, because they have their first baby on the way in November!  It looks like Shannon’s life will get even busier!
